Polymer (PCL) fibers with Zn‐doped mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles for tissue regeneration

چکیده
Composite fibrous membranes based on poly(ɛ-caprolactone) (PCL) and mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MBGNs) were fabricated by electrospinning. MBGNs Zn-doped prepared microemulsion sol–gel method successfully incorporated inside the polymeric fibers of 240 385 nm in diameter for undoped PCL_MBGNs fibers, respectively. Thermal analysis showed that concentration reached a maximum around 21 wt% MBGNs. Both PCL_MBGNs_Zn composite membrane exhibited bioactivity after immersion simulated body fluid (SBF). X-ray diffraction (XRD) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) evolution membranes, confirming formation hydroxyapatite (HAp). However, degradation products did not affect viability proliferation murine stromal cells (ST-2) thus new fiber structures represent suitable environment cell adhesion. Therefore, incorporation doped with therapeutically active Zn2+ ions PCL offers possibility to create multifunctional biomaterial drug delivery tissue engineering.

Barrier membranes that are used for guided tissue regeneration (GTR) therapy usually lack bioactivity and the capability to promote new bone tissue formation. However, the incorporation of an osteogenic agent into polymeric membranes seems to be the most assertive strategy to enhance their regenerative potential. Here, the manufacturing of composite electrospun membranes made of poly (ε-caprola...

Poly(glycerol sebacate) (PGS) has increasingly become a desirable biomaterial due to its elastic mechanical properties, biodegradability, and biocompatibility. Here, we report microfibrous core−shell mats of polycaprolactone (PCL)−PGS prepared using wet−wet coaxial electrospinning. The anticoagulant heparin was immobilized onto the surface of these electrospun fiber mats, and they were evaluate...

The aim of this work was the preparation and characterization of scaffolds with mechanical and functional properties able to regenerate bone. Porous scaffolds made of chitosan/gelatin (POL) blends containing different amounts of a bioactive glass (CEL2), as inorganic material stimulating biomineralization, were fabricated by freeze-drying. Foams with different compositions (CEL2/POL 0/100; 40/6...
